Here are a few pictures I've taken with my phone along the way. I just figured out how to post them so we'll see how many more I can get on to give a taste of our time here.

Since I'm in school now I couldn't take three weeks off, so I'm doing school via Skype! This is me "in class" while I was eating breakfast. With the time change I start class at 6:00AM here.

Quick Update ~

It's getting late and sometimes my body goes on MI time… so I'll try and recap the past several days.

Praise the Lord I'm recovered from the migraine, it took a couple days but all is well now. The dear sweet older woman had some tough times which led to her being taken to the doctor and she went to the hospital for a blood transfusion (which we found out she gets quite frequently) and will be coming back to us tomorrow.
The Snyder's are doing great! I almost "killed" (David's words) David on a walk the other day, but praise the Lord, he survived :)
My mom had her first attempt at a fever treatment bath. And spent some time with dear Uncle Schubert, our personal in house cardiologist, doing some tests on her heart and trying to figure out what the best treatment will be. It's quite a change for her to be the patient rather than the one treating others. She's doing quite well though. The other day she was wanting some sympathy for some of the things she has to drink so she had David try it…she's now got his sympathy, but still has to take it.
I've tried some of the drinks, some are great…others…well…after the look on my face after trying it Trish totally refused trying any!
I've been able to help Janet out with keeping everyone on schedule, it's been fun being her co-pilot when she's gone or busy.
Nalani is just as sweet as ever and being oh so very helpful.
Oh…I burnt my hand a couple days ago getting a pan of squash I made out of the oven after putting it at 500 degrees. There was a hole in the hot pad which wasn't realized until I grabbed the pan with my bare skin. Praise the Lord it's not as bad as it could have been. It's just kinda hard to have to do just about everything with my right, non-dominant, hand, but it's better than it could have been.

Sabbath…oh what a wonderful day it was today. :) Last night we went and heard a thought-provoking sermon by Peter Gregory, last minute but everyone was happy to be spontaneous.
Today we went to AdventHope and then to LLU Church. It was such a beautiful day today! After the services we went over to a dear Doctors house and had sweet fellowship and wonderful food with many people, some that we'd met before and others that we just met. We then took a walk up the mountain and saw the sunset and the view overlooking Loma Linda. It was a nice closing of the Sabbath, also…we picked some oranges, grapefruit, comcuats (sp?) off of some trees. We got back to the house closed Sabbath, had some amazing popcorn and then headed back home…

Time for sleep ~ tomorrow we're back on our schedule.

Migraine ~

Yesterday my afternoon was interrupted by a migraine! I've not had one in about 8 years so it's was kinda a surprise. So…I'm typing and not really looking at the computer since my head/ eyes still hurt to focus on anything.

One prayer request: a dear older woman, in her 80's, is here that was just diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer. We've all been helping her and she is such a dear woman. One thing that wasn't known was that she has Type II Diabetes. Yesterday when the Lord impressed someone to take her blood sugar it was over 200 and today it was 443. She collapsed and has been in critical condition. A couple people just took her to the doctor. We'd all appreciate your prayers for her. They just gave her a few days to live. She's been doing quite well with the treatments.

We're also grateful to have two of our dearest friends with us here too. The Snyder's. The Lord has been blessing them and they are both doing great and feeling better after only a couple days. Praise the Lord.

That's the update for now…I can't be on the computer for too long or my head starts really hurting and my vision gets weird.

Oh…it's a beautiful sunny day here and 80 degrees!! :)

The Program ~ Day 1

I just got out of a steam shower treatment and have to rest for 30 minutes, so I thought I'd take this time to blog. :)

Well…we arrived last night…it was quite the journey down here. We started our day off quite early, due to the fact that we aren't on California time yet it makes it easier to wake up early. Especially when you go to bed around 7:30-8:30PM. So, we woke up early so I could go to the beach and look for shells and sand-dollars a little before sunrise. We all drove down only to realize that the "beach" they sent us to was not a beach at all, just the place where the water met the rocks. So we decided to walk the other direction, and after several attempts Nalani and I finally found a place where we could get down to the beach. Nalani didn't approve of the place for she thought it was risky so I went ahead showing her that it was a safe place where we wouldn't get overtaken by the waves. My mom and Trish followed just a little behind.

We walked and walked and ran and searched the barren beach for any signs of shells or sand-dollars only to find a few broken pieces of shells. I decided to continue my search and saw a place that looked like it might have some so I ran over there (oh…it's about 41 degrees out and cloudy and the waves are ginormous due to the storms) and as I went to pick my foot up my shoe stayed behind, so I reached down to grab my shoe just in time before a wave came crashing towards me and there I was, not going to try and move away from it thinking that if I did I'd lose my other shoe, and trying to keep my balance so that I wouldn't fall in. Well…I saved my shoes yet was soaking wet up to my knees. My socks that were white, were now speckled black from the sand and my shoe was filled with sand and water. Oh did I mention that the tide was coming in and we had walked quite a ways down the beach? So we decided to get off the beach so that we all wouldn't be trapped by the incoming tide. The only issue was that the car was anything but close and I was now walking with soaking wet socks w/out shoes and we didn't know how to get back via the road…what to do…well…walk across the people's yard right? Well…if it was grass that'd be one thing but this was a plant that was like aloe only firmer yet smoother, yet it was better than the other option. So walk we did, and did it ever feel weird under my feet. But we made it! We got back to the hotel, tried to wash up our things and put them in bags. This is the first ever trip that I only brought what I needed (or thought I needed) so I only have 1 pair of shoes, 1 pair of flip-flops and 1 pair of Sabbath shoes. So…flip-flops it was, in the now 41 degree rainy weather. But hey, at least I had shoes!

We got on the road and had a beautiful drive stopping at so many different places. It was cloudy but oh so beautiful. God is such an amazing God, and His creation is a wonder to see. To make a long story short…we got 50 miles down Highway 1 from Monterrey and found ourselves at a barricaded road. On Highway 1 when the road is closed the only option is to turn around and go back…and for us it was 50 miles back. Yet 50 miles on Highway 1 is like 100 miles on a normal road if not more. When we got to there we were 175 miles from our destination yet by the time we found our other route we were over 300 miles away. The GPS kept trying to get us to make a u-turn all the way back. We felt bad for all those driving down the road that didn't know what was ahead of them. We were thinking of the object lessons that we could get out of it. How we should be just as urgent and wanting to share the truth with others as were were to warn those going down the road.

We arrived last night around 9:30PM and got all settled in our rooms. Today started off early. I did vitals for the people this morning and then they started with lemon salt water, juicing, steam baths, drinks, etc. There are 4 people here getting treatments, it's going to be quite the experience. Today my mom, Nalani, and I with a dear older woman that was just diagnosed with lung cancer had a steam treatment. It was quite the treatment! The have about 15 feet ceilings and 5 shower heads that come out of the shower and steam too. I've never seen Nalani drink so much water so quickly. She did really well.

I am now done with my resting time and should go make lunch for those of us that are eating.

Our trip ~ Part 1

Well we made it out here safely. This is my first time getting internet, and so I'll try and catch up with everything that has been happening. Nothing too eventful, other than the extremely turbulent landing and take off from Denver. We arrived in San Francisco and after a couple hours and a neat AirTran ride we got a rental vehicle, filled it with our luggage and were off on our adventure.

First stop: Jamba Juice! We were all dehydrated and hungry so we decided that Jamba Juice would be a good place to go. With the handy-dandy iPhone we have found our way all over the place and a Jamba Juice was only a few miles away. After we had our fill our next destination was…

The coast! So we drove right over and started heading up the coast, oh how beautiful it was! We drove all over and then crossed the Golden Gate bridge on our way up to Napa Valley. We drove all through the grape vines, so reminded me of 2 1/2 years ago when we were driving to the Mandache's house from Northern Cali and the Bambrick's were driving from San Francisco, I'm sure we took the same route they did for I recognized some of the places from their pictures.

The sun set as we were driving through the vineyards, it was oh so beautiful. We arrived there easier this time than the last (we got lost a couple times the last time we went to their home.) Got all tucked in (in the house, not the back cabin that is FILLED with spiders, well at least it was last time) and got to bed by 8:00pm their time.

The next morning we headed off to Elmshaven, oh the memories… It's so special to see the places and hear the stories of our Adventist Pioneers. While we were there the little mist turned into rain and well, we still decided to head to the redwood park. The rain would have been ok if it was warm…but it was about 45 degrees out. By the time we got there it was really raining hard, so we decided to drive through rather than walk, oh my are the raindrops HUGE in a redwood forest! It was a beautiful drive, do we ever have an amazing God! When you stand there beneath a tree that is over 300 feet tall, it gives you a new perspective.

From there we headed back down the highway to just about where we started and then went North East to Chico area to spend a couple days with Dr. Gilkes and "Grandma" Arna. We had a wonderful time with them and Dr Gilkes went over my mom's lab and MRI reports with us which was so helpful. We now know more of what we are dealing with, which is scary but good to know the enemy that you are fighting. The Lyme's have really gotten a hold in some bad areas in my mom so please do pray for her and that the treatment will be effective.

Nalani and Grandma Arna had a lot of fun making bread for Sabbath and for our trip. Nalani just loves spending time at Grandma Arna's house. While there the forcast was for SNOW!! We didn't get it but we did have wind like I've never experienced before. Last night the winds got up to 75 mph with gusts up to 100mph. It was raining oh so very hard too! My mom woke me up last night to check the weather report and to tell me that if something came flying through the window (which I was under) to cling to the wall. When we got up this morning the wind had calmed down and the rain had just about stopped. we had decided that if it didn't that we wouldn't be going anywhere today as they have a big bridge that you have to cross going to town and there's no way I'd cross that with 75 mph winds!

This morning we went to church and then drove back through San Francisco to the coast to start our journey to Monrovia, CA.

The sun came out and we were having such a blessed Sabbath when we got to the end of the Golden Gate Bridge. Oh no! Our hearts just sank! When we had crossed it the first time it was free and so we weren't thinking anything about paying to cross it, esp. not during Sabbath hours. We got to the end and saw a line of cars by the toll booths all ready to pay the $6 toll to cross the bridge. While the others were in shock I sent up a prayer for help and suggested that my mom explain the situation to the toll person and see what would happen. My poor mom. still with some slow stuttered speech was trying to get the words out while I was praying for the Lord to soften the toll man's heart. The gentleman just kinda listened then said that they'd mail us something to pay later, then he just stepped back and sent us on our way, never getting our address or giving us anything. We all said a prayer of thanksgiving to the Lord as we continued our journey to the coast.

A beautiful place to close Sabbath was our destination, I timed it out and looked at the map and had a place in mind. It was perfect! We were just about alone, only one other man there to take pictures of the sunset, and us on the beach. How majestic it was to see the huge waves, from the storm, crashing on the rocks and the beach. I climbed up on the top of a rock and decided that there would be my place to close the Sabbath. Looking out at God's amazing creation my mind drifted to our creator, what the earth must have looked like when He created it 6,000 years ago and how it'll be when He re-creates it anew. As I watched the sun going down a song sprung into my mind that we sing as the Sabbath closes "Day is dying…" and I sung to the Lord while watching the mighty waves and the sun slowly drifting through the sky. Nalani joined in her sweet little harmony and soon we were all singing. I pray that it touched the man's heart that was near us. After some time to meditate we closed the Sabbath and climbed up the stairs (on the way down we went my unconventional way, but it was decided that we'd walk back up the way that we were intended to) and got in our vehicle to figure out where to stay the night. After a little searching and changing rooms we are all settled in at Half Moon Bay. Tomorrow morning early I hope to go out and see what I can find.

We'll head down the rest of the way via highway 1, my favorite road in the world, to Malibu and then to Monrovia where we'll begin treatments for my mom.

The doctor is thinking that it's a possibility that I might have it since my mom most likely had it when she was pregnant for me and since I do have just a couple of the symptoms I've started doing the basic treatment, nothing serious as he doesn't think that that is needed at all.

So keep us in your prayers. It's been and will be quite the journey, and it's only the beginning.

Made it to Denver! ~

We made it safely to Denver. It was a very bumpy descent but good landing. We have an hour before we take off for San Francisco, Ca. For those of you that asked we're going to a program in southern California for my mom to be treated for her Lyme's Disease.

Lyme's 101 ~

Here's a little information on Lyme's for those of you that are unfamiliar. As the days pass by I'm getting more and more familiar with it.

1. Is Lyme disease caused by a virus, bacteria, or a parasite? 

Lyme disease is caused by a spirochetal bacteria.

2. Who is the doctor that identified the spirochete that causes Lyme disease?

Dr. Willie Burgdorfer identified the spirochete responsible for Lyme disease (Borrelia burgdorferi) in the early 1980's.

3. How long after a person is in contact with an infected source will Lyme disease symptoms appear?

Lyme disease symptoms may appear days, weeks, months or years after the initial infection.

4. How many species of ticks carry the Lyme disease spirochetes?

At least nine species of ticks, six species of mosquitoes, 13 species of mites, 15 species of flies, two species of fleas, and numerous wild and domestic animals (including rabbits, rodents, and birds) have been found to carry the spirochete that causes Lyme disease.

11. What are the most common diseases that are often mistaken for Lyme disease? 

There are many different diseases or conditions that are found in patients with Lyme disease. All too often Borellia organisms are not considered as the source for patients complaints and their symptoms. For example, an ophthalmologist may diagnose any of the following conditions: conjunctivitis, ocular myalgias, keratitis, episcleritis, optic neuritis, pars planitis, uveitis, iritis, transient or permanent blindness, iritis, photophobia, temporal arteritis, vitritis, Horner's syndrome, ocular myasthenia gravis, or Argyll-Robertson pupil which may or may not be Lyme or tick borne disease related. All of the conditions listed above have been documented in Lyme disease patients and many of these diseases or conditions improve with proper antibiotic therapy.

Urologists, for example, may not realize that recurring bladder infections or swollen testicles can be caused by spirochetal organisms. Infectious Disease specialists often dismiss patients concerned about Lyme disease because many are under the assumption that Lyme disease is very 'rare' and/or they are not familiar with the various signs and symptoms of the disease due to their limited definition of the disease. 

Lyme disease can be misdiagnosed as: Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Multiple Sclerosis, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's disease, Lupus, Lou Gehrigs (ALS) disease, Guillian-Barre Syndrome, Polymyositis, Hepatitis, cardiac disorders, fibromyalgia, TMJ, ringworm, Tullio phenomenon, encephalitis, ADD, ADHD, meningitis, depression, panic disorders, Bell's palsy, candidiasis, chronic mononucleosis, hypoglycemia, scleroderma, Epstein Barr virus, autoimmune diseases, Bannwarth's syndrome, various cancers,  kidney disease, Raynauds syndrome, stress-related illnesses, sleep disorders, thyroid problems, vasculitis, anorexia, agoraphobia, cerebrovascular disorders, arthritis, connective tissue diseases, hearing disorders, Crohn's disease, purpura, pseudotumor, Sjogrens syndrome, stroke and respiratory insufficiency.

38. What are the signs or symptoms of Lyme disease?

Lyme is a multi-systemic disease that can cause multiple signs and symptoms.

Lyme disease can have a wide range of symptoms, which can go dormant (sometimes for years), can migrate, return, disappear, or change day by day. Symptoms can be aggravated by stress, medications, weather, and other outside influences. Symptoms may tend to worsen on a four week peaking cycle. SOME of the symptoms that may be found in those with Lyme disease include:  Flu-like symptoms, headaches (mild to severe), recurring low grade fevers or fevers up to 104.5 degrees. Usually in the first few weeks of Lyme disease fevers tend to be higher. (Patients with Lyme disease often tend to have a "normal temperature" below 98.6 degrees, therefore, a slight rise in temperature may be all that is noted.)

Often patients exhibit fatigue (mild to extreme), joint pain (with or without swelling), muscle pain, connective tissue pain, recurring sore throat (sometimes only on one side of the throat), swollen glands (come and go), varying shades of red on ear lobes and pinna, malar rash, cold hands and feet in a warm environment, weakness, lightheadedness, eczema and psoriasis, painful or itching skin, flushing, night or day sweats, inordinate amounts of sweating, anhydrosis (inability to sweat), or dermatitis (acrodermatitis chronica).  There may be a rash, but it isn't noticed or does not appear in all cases. The rash may be basically circular with outward spreading, however, other varieties are seen.  The rash may be singular or multiple, at the site of a bug bite, or in another location, warm to touch, or slightly raised with distinct borders.

In dark skinned individuals the rash may appear to be a bruise.  Numbness, sleep disturbances, vertigo, hearing loss, feelings of being off-balance, unexplained weight gain or loss, and feeling "infected" are also problems associated with Lyme disease.

Symptoms may develop that include: panic attacks, anxiety, depression, mild to severe cognitive difficulties, mood swings, coma, seizures, dementia, mania, biploar disorders, vivid nightmares, stammering speech, confusion, memory loss (short or long term), "brain fog", vibrating feeling in head, topographical disorientation, and environmental agnosia.  

Some patients have problems with numbers and sequencing, disorganization of thoughts, rambling on in great detail while talking, frequent errors in word selection or pronunciation, changes in personality, short attention span, Tourette manifestations, OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder), raging emotions, and cranial nerve palsies.  

Patients have reported bladder disfunction (neurogenic bladder with either hesitancy, frequency, loss of bladder awareness, urinary retention, incontinence or symptoms of UTI, and chronic pyelonephritis). Intersitial cystitis, irregular or severe menstrual cycles with decreased or increased bleeding, early menopause, a new onset of P.M.S. symptoms, or disturbed estrogen and progesterone levels are documented in many cases.

Other problems include altered pregnancy outcomes, severe symptoms during pregnancy, abdominal bloating, irritable bowel syndrome, abdominal pain and cramping (may appear to be ulcers), loss of sex drive, testicular or pelvic pain, breast pain, and fibrocystic breast disease.  Diarrhea (which can come and go or last for months with no explanation), constipation (which can be severe enough to cause blockage), irritable bowel syndrome, spastic colon, nausea, stomach acid reflux, gastritis, abdominal myositis, and indigestion are some of the gasto-intestinal disorders reported.

In addition, patients demonstrate a higher occurrence of various types of cysts (liver, breast, bone, ovary, skin, pineal gland and kidney).

Some Lyme patients are diagnosed by their eye care professionals and have been documented as suffering from one or more of the following disorders: conjunctivitis, ocular myalgias, keratitis, episcleritis, optic neuritis, pars planitis, uveitis, iritis, transient or permanent blindness, iritis, photophobia, temporal arteritis, vitritis, Horner's syndrome, ocular myasthenia gravis, and Argyll-Robertson pupil.

Often eye problems require a changing of prescription glasses more often than normal.   Heart-related problems are associated with Lyme disease and can include: mitral valve prolapse, irregular heart beat, myocarditis, pericarditis, enlarged heart, inflammation of muscle or membrane, shortness of breath, strokes, and chest pain.  Twitching of facial muscles, Bell's palsy, tingling of the nose, cheek or face are reported.

In addition, there may be chest pain or soreness, enlarged spleen, liver function disorders, tremors, extreme sensitivity to being touched or bumped, burning sensations, stiff neck, meningitis, and encephalitis. Patients may experience continual or recurring infections (sinus, kidney and urinary tract are most common).  

Patients may suffer from a weakened immune system, the development of new allergies, recurring upper respiratory tract infections (causing, or worsening of pre-existing sinusitis, asthma, bronchitis, otitis, mastoiditis), and allergic or chemical hypersensitivity's.

Other noted problems include: T.M.J., difficulty swallowing or chewing, tooth grinding, arthritis (in small joints of fingers and larger, weight bearing joints), Osgood-Schlatter's Syndrome (water on the knee), bone pain, gout-like pain in toe, muscle spasms to the point of dislocating joints and tearing muscle tissue, leg and hip pain, "drawing up" of arms, "growing pains" in children, tendonitis, heel pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, and paravertebral lumbosacral muscle strain/spasm.  

Some patients tend to suffer from a monthly "flare-up" of symptoms as the spirochetes reproduce and/or die off.

Sabbath at Home with my Mom ~

Happy Sabbath Everyone. Yesterday evening I had my first attempt at giving my mom a fever treatment. Where we are going they are wanting to get her temperature up to 104 for quite some time. Due to my mom's health and the severity of her case I was advised to start her as soon as possible. I also thought it'd be wise to try and ease her into the intense fever treatments. So last night after worship I gave her my first treatment. She went for about 30 minutes before feeling extremely weak, nauseated and desperate to get out. I had cold on her head and she was drinking a lot of lemon water. We got her temperature up above 101 for maybe 8 minutes and that's all she could handle.

This morning she's really not doing well so home we are, taking care of mom. She is so weak and her voice is still slurred and slow. We're all kinda getting used to it now.

We appreciate all of your prayers and concern, and advice. This is a new venture for all of us.

Well…it took a long long time to get home today due to the blizzard! But home I am, I got home and made lunch, got some food ready for Sabbath, cut Nalani's hair and now we are getting ready to bring Sabbath in. Still getting everything figured out for the trip.

The beginning of a Journey ~ Lyme's disease

This week has been one of the longest weeks of my life! Nor do I think I've spent this much time on the phone in ages! Yes my inbox is full again, and I've not had a moment to empty it. I've been at school less than ever, but Praise the Lord I got 100% on my test, even with all of this going on and not knowing something was going to be on it. The Lord is good!

This week we found out that my mom has Advanced Lyme's disease. She's not been feeling well for the past many many years yet the doctors couldn't ever find anything wrong. So, praise the Lord, we finally know what it is. The doctor is thinking that she has had it for years.

Due to the severity of the case we are flying out to California next week to start her in a 21 day program to treat the Lyme's. I'm so grateful for some dear friends that I've been able to talk to that have had and overcome Lyme's as they have given us a lot of suggestions and counsel on what to do. It's going to be an intense process. The doctor says it will most likely take about a year.

I'm going to be giving some updates on here while I'm there. Due to being in the middle of Medical Massage school I won't be able to be there the whole time, but I'm grateful for my teachers letting me go and to reschedule my midterm.

GYC 2011 ~

GYC this year was such a blessing! It was my fourth year working logistics and oh what a blessing it was. The spirit of the attendees was amazing, due to some glitches our registration was 3 hours late in starting, yet instead of complaining or getting upset those waiting in line took the time to sing hymns, pray and encourage one another and those of us working registration. When it was finally up and going the whole group of over 100 people broke out singing "Praise the the Lord!" People were there from far and near to hear the gospel and be filled with the spirit. Our theme this year was "Fill Me: Our Earnest Plea" There were people there from over 66 countries and when I counted on Sabbath we had almost 7,000 people there. Aside from working logistics our family also had an exhibit there for "The Creator's Way."

It was busy busy busy at the booths this year. We worked long and hard hours before GYC to get my 6 DVD presentations ready to take down to GYC. That meant: duplication, compilation, designing DVD and Insert covers (thank you Evan!!!) then burning all the copies, then putting the DVD labels on then inserting the DVD cover and putting everything together. We also had to put together the Herbal Remedies First Aid kits, and a dear friend Trish was SO kind to come and help for two days to get those ready.

The people were really interested this year. It was so exciting.

One day the choir director of the academy that was going to be singing that evening started talking to my mom. She shared with her that her knee was hurting and she was concerned about how she was going to conduct, my mom told her about our All Purpose Healing Salve, the lady got some and the next evening she came back to our Exhibit with the wonderful testimony that she had used the salve and was able to conduct without any pain and that as she continued using the salve her pain was still gone. Praise the Lord.

We also had another person come up to the booth that was struggling with a lot of congestion and sinus issues. I suggested that they try some Herbal Chest Rub and see if it would help. A few minutes after they had applied some they came back and bought a jar saying that they could already sense improvement and that they were breathing better.

This year I made my own seminar to accompany the Anna's Wild Yam Cream that we sell. It made a nice set for women, and many women that came to the booth were excited to see it.

Those are just a couple of the stories we have from our Exhibit time at GYC. White there we were able to get out over 300 of my DVD's, including a sermon that I did a couple years ago which we passed out on Sabbath. To check them out go to our website or you can email me and ask me. :)

I'll post more stories when I get a chance. We had quite the adventures driving there and back. 26 hours one way! The Lord really blessed.

Two New Presentations ~

Two weeks ago we traveled down state to record two more presentations. One on the Liver and the other on the bodies waste managers. It was a blessing to be there and they have a wonderful camera and recording crew.

I'm now working on the GMO presentation and hoping to get that finished before I start school.

New Seminar and Anna's Wild Yam Cream

We've been quite busy this past summer. It's amazing to think that it is already September! As I look at my schedule for this month it's just about empty, and yet I know when October rolls around and I look back it'll be anything but that.

I'm getting a couple presentations ready to record and working on a seminar called "Hidden GMO's" that I hope to have done this month.

We've been having great feedback from the Anna's Wild Yam Cream, it's great to hear how people are being helped by it.

I also had the opportunity to go to our Michigan Conference Ministerial Retreat and offer massages for all the women. It's a blessing to be able to serve.

Keep us in your prayers and the Lord continues to open doors.

A couple weeks ago a friend had a sweet little baby boy, and his mommy loves him so much that she wants to do whats best for him...so...she asked me to come and spend a few days with her helping her with the sweet little one, teaching her about healthy living and cooking and how to give him the best start he can have.

So this morning I got up really early and drove downstate where I'll be for the next few days.

I've not done this before so I'm quite excited about it and I'm sure it'll be a lot of fun for all of us. :)

A sweet little Miracle baby boy ~

This is a picture (color and B&W) of a sweet little baby whose birth I was able to assist with. It was an amazing experience that I'll never forget. His mommy was amazing and his daddy, Aunt and Grandma were wonderful and so much help and support to his mommy. He has been blessed with wonderful parents and the Lord really blessed us with a strong and healthy baby boy.

I attended my first breech delivery yesterday! Praise the Lord!!

The Lord really answered my prayers this week! We had our two babies born and now I'm leaving in peace knowing that I was able to attend both births! The one yesterday was a breech! The dear mother did an AMAZING job and has a beautiful baby boy to show it. The Lord is so loving to answer our prayers. :)

A prayed for delivery ~

We have such an amazing Lord and Saviour. I'm just amazed at how personal of a God He is. We are leaving on Thursday to go to an Agriculture program in West Virginia and we have to sweet women that are due around this time. So we started praying, and praying hard that they would go into labor before we left.

Sabbath at church I asked everyone to pray for the Lord's will, and that if it was His will that I would be able to attend the births.

Saturday night as I was getting ready to crawl into bed the Lord spoke to me in a still soft voice. He whispered to me that tonight was the night, that one of the women was going to have her baby. I paused, and pondered the thought wondering if it was God or just my mind thinking things and then prayed and got into bed.

Bzzzzz…..bzzzzzzzz…..bzzzzzzzzzz……..went my phone on the little table by my bed (I now have the phone on a table rather than under my pillow no that we don't have bunk beds anymore) I knew what it was. It was time to go. As I was waking up and getting out of bed I remembered the little soft whispering of the Lord before I went to bed and a smile came upon my face as I thanked the Lord for not only answering my prayer but also by letting me know. I ran out the door as quickly as I could to rush to the house 1/2 mile away for a very intense and quick delivery, he was born 3 minutes after I got there!! It was a beautiful and memorable delivery and such a blessing for me to be a part of. A handsome 8 lb baby boy was born and welcomed by his loving mommy and daddy.

Home I went for a little sleep and then up to make breakfast for my wonderful mommy for Mother's day.

It was such a beautiful experience. And such a blessing that the Lord answered our prayers.

Understanding Your Hormones Seminar In Frankfort

We had a great seminar yesterday! One woman came in that was having some issues and couldn't figure out what the cause was and had no idea what to do about it. While I was giving the seminar she noticed that the symptoms that I was listing described what she was having. Her doctor had suggested that she buy wild yams and eat as many as she possibly could to try and help her. After I went over the Anna's Wild Yam cream and that it is taken from Wild Yams she was excited and purchased a jar for herself. I really look forward to hearing how it is going to help her.

We had started the seminar and about 10 minutes into it a woman walked in and sat down. After listening to the seminar for awhile she asked if she could ask a question. She also had been having hormone problems and was so excited to learn what was being presented. She was on the birth control pill for 15 years and started suffering from depression and other side effects while being on it, she noticed that once she came off of the pill her depression went away. She also mentioned some other symptoms that she was having and how the seminar spoke directly to them and know she knew why she was having those symptoms.

She was up visiting a friend and her friend was sleeping so she decided to take a drive. While she was driving she just decided to stop in at the restaurant where we were speaking to look at it to see if maybe it would be a good place to come eat sometime. When she walked in they asked her if she was there for the Hormone Seminar, she decided to see what it was and was so blessed to be there! Praise the Lord for how He led her to us. After the presentation and some wonderful discussion she got a jar of Anna's Wild Yam Cream for herself and one for her friend that was at home sleeping. :)

The Lord really blessed our time and we look forward to hearing how these women will be blessed by the knowledge that they acquired from our seminar.

We had a GREAT night! We had a wonderful drive through the country to a town I'd never been to: Alpena. We got there and got all set up and just watched the people file in. It was a great group. We had around 60 people there and they were engaged and participated well. The woman that had arranged for us to come had a cold and was really congested so for our Hot-Foot Bath demonstration we did a treatment on her. She contacted us the next day to let us know that she was feeling better. We also spoke about: Hot& Cold Showers, Lemon gargle for sore throat, Ice rubs, Lemon Wraps, Neck Wraps, the physiology of Hydrotherapy, Herbal Salves, the use of garlic and charcoal poultices, and more.

It was a lot of fun to do and we look forward to going back sometime!

I always wondered if there was actually a person that fit everything I was looking for…I used to pray that I could find a person that was a combination of all these different characteristics that I was wanting. I got to the point that I didn't think the person existed…and then…God showed me otherwise. :) Being in a relationship that is centered on the Lord is the greatest blessing. I could not thank the Lord enough for bringing Evan into my life. It's been such an incredible experience full of joy, love, growth, and many many other things.

I hope you enjoy a little sample of some of our pictures. Being with a photographer you get a lot of pictures, and have a lot of ideas, and through our courtship we've been able to have daddy help us get some of us as well as train some friends :)

The Meaning of Trials ~

This world is not the Christian's heaven. It is the place in which to fit up for heaven. It is the scene of our life-battles, our conflicts and sorrows. While here we must, if we would be successful, have a firm grasp of the better world, where, when the warfare is ended, will be found peace and everlasting joy.

Through all our trials, which have never been fully revealed to others, we have had an unfailing Friend, who has said, "I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee." "Lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world." While upon the earth, Jesus was ever touched with human woe, and although he is now ascended to his Father, and is adored by angels who swiftly speed to obey his commands, yet his heart, which loved, pitied, and sympathized with men, knows no change. It remains a heart of unchangeable tenderness still. "We have not a high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are." Jesus is acquainted with all our trials, and he does not leave us to struggle alone with temptations, to battle alone with sin, and to be finally crushed with burden and sorrow. Through his angels he whispers to you, "Fear not; for I am with thee." "I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive forevermore." "I know your sorrows; I have endured them. I am acquainted with your struggles; I have experienced them. I know your temptations; I have encountered them. I have seen your tears; I also have wept. Your earthly hopes are crushed, but let the eye of faith be uplifted, and penetrate the vail, and there anchor your hopes. The everlasting assurance shall be yours that you have a Friend that sticketh closer than a brother."

God has always tried his people in the furnace of affliction, in order to prove them firm and true, to purge from them all dross and unrighteousness. It was after Abraham and his son Isaac had borne the severest test that could be brought upon them, that God spoke through his angel to Abraham, and said: "Now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son, from me."

The work of pruning and purifying the people of God for heaven is a great work, and it will not be accomplished without great suffering on the part of the servants of God, because it will cost them something to bring their wills into harmony with the will of Christ. We must go through the furnace till the fires have consumed the dross, and we are purified so that we reflect the divine image. Those who follow inclination, and judge from appearances, are not good judges of what God is doing. They are filled with discontent. They see failure where there is indeed triumph, a great loss where there is only gain; and like Jacob, they are ready to exclaim, when trial comes upon them, "All these things are against me!" when the fact is, that the very things of which they complained, were working for their good.

"No cross, no crown." One cannot be strong in the Lord and never experience trial. To have strength, we must have exercise. To have strong faith we must be placed in circumstances where our faith will be called forth. Just before his martyrdom, the apostle Paul said to Timothy: "Be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel, according to the power of God." It is through much tribulation that we enter the kingdom of heaven. Our Saviour was tried in every possible way, and yet he triumphed continually in God. It is our privilege under all circumstances to be strong in the strength of God and to glory in the cross of Christ.

Every follower of Christ will have a cross to bear; and when he takes it up resolutely, though in weakness and trembling, he will find that that which seemed so terrible to him is a source of strength and blessing and courage. It will be a staff to him to help him on in his weary pilgrimage through this earth. Then shall the professed follower of Christ drop his cross, and seek to please those who are deriding his Lord? Shall he, for fear he will not receive honor of men, reject and despise the cross of Christ?

What if you do suffer, dear fellow-Christian? The Master of the house suffered before you. Jesus, our Redeemer, representative and head, endured the testing process. He suffered more than we can be called upon to suffer. He bore our infirmities, and was in all points tempted like as we are. He did not suffer thus on his own account, but because of our sins, that we, relying on the merits of our Overcomer, might be victorious in his name. Christ was the exalted and glorious commander of heaven, before whom the angelic hosts bowed in adoration, yet he condescended to give up his glory that he had with the Father, that he might save a fallen race; and shall we, in our turn, refuse to deny ourselves for his sake and the gospel's? Let the words of Paul be the language of our hearts: "God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world."

Christ requires all. His sacrifice was too great, too dear, to make it possible that we should give less than all, and be accepted. Our holy faith cries out, Separation. We should not be conformed to the world, or to dead, heartless professors. The Scripture says, "Be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind." The way to heaven is a self-denying way. But when you think the way is too strait, and there is too much self-denial in the narrow path; when you say, How hard to give up all, ask yourselves the question, What did Christ give up for me? This question puts anything that we might call self-denial in the shade. Behold him in the garden of Gethsemane. Look upon the great drops of blood that are forcing themselves from his pores while he is bearing the inexpressible agony of soul. Look upon him in the judgment hall while he is derided, mocked, and insulted by the infuriated mob. Behold him clothed in that old purple robe, and hear the coarse jest and cruel mocking. See them place the crown of thorns on that noble brow, and smite him with a reed, causing the thorns to penetrate his holy temples, so that the blood-drops trickle down his face and fall upon the ground. Hear the murderous throng eagerly crying for the blood of the Son of God. He is delivered into their hands, and pale, and weak, and fainting, he is led away to the hill of crucifixion. They stretch his form upon the cross, and drive the nails through his tender hands and feet. Behold him hanging upon the cross through dreadful hours of agony until angels vail their faces from the scene, and the sun hides his light, refusing to shine upon the dreadful sight. Think of these things, and then ask, Is the way too strait?

O that every one might realize that Jesus has something in store for him vastly better than that which he would choose for himself! Would that all might come to understand the exceeding sinfulness of sin and the blessedness of righteousness! Would that all might see how powerless is all effort to contend with Omnipotence! Man is doing the greatest injury to his own soul when he thinks and acts contrary to the mind and will of God. He is sowing to his flesh, and of the flesh he will reap corruption. No real joy can be found in the path forbidden by God, who knows what is best, and who plans for the good of his creatures. In order to be happy ourselves, we must live to make others happy. We must yield our possessions, our talents, and our affections, in grateful devotion to Christ, and in this way we may find happiness here and immortality hereafter.

The most trying experiences in the Christian life may be the most blessed. The special providences of the dark hours may encourage the soul in the future attacks of Satan, and equip the soul to stand most fiery trials. The trial of your faith is more precious than gold. But in order to endure the test, you must have that faith, that abiding confidence in God, that will not be disturbed by the arguments and temptations of the deceiver. Take the Lord at his word. Study the promises, and appropriate them as you have need. "Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." Happy is the man, who, when tempted, finds his soul rich in the knowledge of the Scriptures, who finds shelter beneath the promises of God. "Thy word," said the psalmist, "have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee." We need that calm, steady faith, that undaunted moral courage, that none but Christ can give, in order that we may be braced for trial and strengthened for duty.

While on earth there will be no escape from conflicts and temptations; but in every storm we have a sure refuge. Jesus has told us, "In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." The forces of Satan are marshaled against us, and we have to meet a diligent foe; but if we take heed to the admonition of Christ, we shall be safe. "Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation." There are foes to be resisted and overcome, but Jesus is by our side, ready to strengthen us for every attack. "This is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith." Faith sees Jesus standing as our Mediator at the right hand of God. Faith beholds the mansions that Jesus has gone to prepare for those who love him. Faith sees the robe and the crown all prepared for the overcomer. Faith hears the song of the redeemed, and brings eternal glories near. We must come close to Jesus in loving obedience if we would see the King in his beauty. There is peace in believing, and joy in the Holy Ghost. Believe! Believe! My soul cries, Believe! Rest in God. He is able to keep that which you have committed to him, and will bring you off more than conqueror through him that has loved you.

But remember that every one who shall be found with the wedding garment on will have come out of great tribulation. The mighty surges of temptation will beat upon all. But the long night of watching, of toil, of hardship, is nearly past. Christ is soon to come. Get ready! The angels of God are seeking to attract you from yourself and from earthly things. Let them not labor in vain. Faith, living faith, is what you need; the faith that works by love and purifies the soul. Remember Calvary and the awful, the infinite sacrifice there made for man. Jesus now invites you to come to him, just as you are, and make him your strength and your everlasting Friend.

As Jesus rested by faith in the Father's care, so we are to rest in the care of our Saviour. If the disciples had trusted in Him, they would have been kept in peace. Their fear in the time of danger revealed their unbelief. In their efforts to save themselves, they forgot Jesus; and it was only when, in despair of self-dependence, they turned to Him that He could give them help.

How often the disciples' experience is ours! When the tempests of temptation gather, and the fierce lightnings flash, and the waves sweep over us, we battle with the storm alone, forgetting that there is One who can help us. We trust to our own strength till our hope is lost, and we are ready to perish. Then we remember Jesus, and if we call upon Him to save us, we shall not cry in vain. Though He sorrowfully reproves our unbelief and self-confidence, He never fails to give us the help we need. Whether on the land or on the sea, if we have the Saviour in our hearts, there is no need of fear. Ear Pain & Onion Poultices ~

For the past two weeks I've been sick with the horrible virus that is going around. It started with a horrible headache and then moved into one ear and then a few days later moved into the other ear and my throat. I seriously have tried just about everything natural to clear up my ears: charcoal poultices, garlic in my ears, tea tree oil, alcohol, GFSE, drinking charcoal, hot and cold showers, hot foot baths, etc. For two nights I could barely sleep because the pain was so bad. After a few days of pain we went to the doctor to get a diagnosis and found out that I had two bad ear infections and an inflamed throat. I came home and the pain was starting to get worse, so I called a friend to find out if there was a remedy that I had not tried. They suggested an onion poultice. You bake the onion and put it into a poultice while it's hot and leave it on until it cools off.

Well… I really on't like onions nor the smell but here I was putting onions on one ear and garlic in the other and guess what? Praise the Lord the onion poultice took away the pain!!

So, for any of you out there that struggle with ear pain or know someone that does suggest to them to make hot onion poultices, they work just great! Be careful not to burn the person, I would put it close to my ear and let the steam go into my ear until it had cooled down just enough to put it on my ear.

Kalamazoo Seminars

This past week we had the opportunity to go to Kalamazoo and do two seminars, "The Acid Alkaline Connection" and "Understanding Your Hormones."

It was quite a blessing, it my first time presenting on Hormones and the Lord really blessed! I spent the past several weeks glued to my computer researching and preparing and I learned so much! We had around 50 people there and the feedback was wonderful.

GYC Report & More Anna's Wild Yam Cream

The Lord really blessed us at GYC this year. There were
over 5,500 attendees during the week and Sabbath attendance peaked to over 6,500! Praise the Lord. We had a very serious group of attendees this year that were there to be challenged in their walk with the Lord and there to make commitments for the Lord. On the logistics side (what my position and role is) the Lord really blessed, registration day went by without many delays and it was so exciting getting to meet thousands of new people.

We were happy to have a booth there for "The Creator's Way" for the second time. Since I wasn't working with Programming this year I was able to spend a lot of time helping at our Exhibit. We're all excited and getting ready to go to the GYC 2010 Conference in Baltimore MD!

For me it's full of lots of responsibilities and blessings. As part of the Logistics team we are praying that everything goes smooth. We have over 4,800 young people pre-registered and are expecting around 6,000+ people on Sabbath! Please keep us all in your prayers.

A Midwifery Nutritional Consultation :)

On Friday I had my first Midwifery Nutrition Consultation. The expectant mother is 8 weeks pregnant and wanting to know what she should do nutritionally to help her baby (and herself) to be as healthy as possible and to give her baby the best start in life.

We had a wonderful time talking and discussing what she can do. She's wanting to be vegetarian and a lot of people had told her that she couldn't get enough protein with a vegetarian diet. After showing her the charts of foods and how much protein they have she saw very clearly that it's easy to get enough protein and all of the other needed nutrients on a vegetarian diet. We had a nice time discussing: meal plans, timing, how to prevent heartburn, good foods for pregnancy, general foods to avoid, etc.

I'm looking forward to working with her throughout her pregnancy and seeing the wonderful results.

Nyah ....my sweet little niece...

After 3 days of early labor and 1 full long day of active labor we were all very very excited for the birth of my second niece: Nyah! She was born October 13th, at 2:13am, and was 7lb 13oz. As not just a midwife but as her sister it was such an incredible blessing to be a part of my sisters first baby's birth.

The first call came Saturday morning at7am...we were in the U.P. for the weekend and I was praying that she wouldn't go into labor until after we came home on Sunday...yet...the call came Saturday morning. After waiting for a few hours...I was happy to inform her that I was quite sure that she truly was in labor. Little did we know what we all had in front of us!!! After making the decision to leave to head down to the lower peninsula and go home so that I could help her we realized that you had to pay to cross the bridge. After praying that the Lord would hold off until we could get there, we decided to spend some wonderful time in worship and nature and then cross the bridge right after sundown. We had the most beautiful sundown worship at the bridge to close the Sabbath and homeward bound we were. After I got there her contractions were about 10-15 apart and I knew we had a long long way to go so I went home to sleep (home is only 7-10 min from her place.) The next day everything was the same...she went in to get checked and was not dilated at all...so on "we" labored.

Monday night as I was on my knees praying beside my bed she called and told me her contractions were 2 min apart and she wanted me to come check her...so I threw some clothes on, gathered my supplies and over I went. To all of our disappointment she was only 2cm. So...on we labored...around 2am her contractions got really close again and she was now 3cm and being a home-birth midwife and not knowing when to normally take someone in, I thought we should take her in. Back to the hospital we went. After another 1.5 hours in triage and them confirming she was 3cm, they suggested she go back home since she wasn't wanting any interventions. Home we went...again!

Up all night long...we were all tired!!! After getting some wonderful counsel from one of my best Midwife counselors I happily gave her some herbs to help her sleep so she could relax...and boy did I ever pray that she'd dilate! Praise the Lord...all she needed was SLEEP!!! After about an hour or more of sleep her contractions picked up really good and fast and she was on her way. The next time I checked her she was 5cm! Were we ever happy. A few hours later she was 6cm...yea!!! You could feel the happiness and excitement! After needing another period of rest I gave her some more herbs and after a little rest they picked up again and before we knew it she was leaking fluid (nice and clear) and she was 8-9cm. Well...maybe it was time to go in????? ;)

We got in for the dreaded triage and I looked at the nurse and informed her that my sister was 8-9cm and there went triage, we got ourselves a nice room :) 4 hours later, a whole lot of support, position changes, and perseverance and my adorable little niece was born! The Lord really led, and am I grateful for His help and leading. (the "short" version ;) ) It was such an incredible blessing to be part of this for my sister. She had a midwifery labor and wonderful natural hospital birth.

Today I went and assisted at my first senior picture photo-shoot!! It was soo much fun. We spent two hours walking around finding places to get shots, picking poses & outfits, trying to get a dog to cooperate, waiting for the clouds to come, and trying to get all the beautiful fall colors :)

A good end to our In-Home Lifestyle Program

Whew... what an amazing and busy last 2 weeks!

Today we sent off our new family member back home. She came here as a "client" and left part of the family. Coming here she had a few goals: get off of her insulin, loose weight, learn how to live healthier, get into a good routine, and mainly to get a closer walk with God, plus many more. Praise the Lord, as we did our end evaluation she left having accomplished all of her goals and more. After three days she was off of her insulin, over two weeks she lost 12 pounds, lowered her BP, went from being able to walk only a few minutes and taking each step with pain to being able to walk a mile (up and down hills) with minimal discomfort.

We were all blessed to be able to have her here. A few of us got a cold during this time and so she was able to see practical home healing shown through natural remedies and hydrotherapy.

The dear sweet lady that is here has been off of her insulin for several days (after 3 days of lifestyle changes) and is doing just amazing! Praise the Lord :)

We're all looking forward to seeing the great results that will be occurring this coming week.

"The Lemon Wrap"

Last fall when I was on my way to Montana to help teach a Midwifery seminar, we stopped in South Dakota for the weekend. While there I dislocated several ribs and tore my intercostal muscles (all b/c of coughing.) Praise the Lord that the place that this happened was at a lifestyle center and there were several doctors there to help. One of the kind people helping me thought that I was coughing b/c I had the flu (which I didn't believe was the case, but helpless as I was, I couldn't do too much) and they decided that they would give me a Lemon Wrap Treatment. All I knew was that I didn't have the flu and that I was in the most excruciating pain, even to breathe. After they iced my ribs and back to the point that I was numb they gave me this crazy sounding treatment. In my mind all I could imagine was being all wrapped up in lemons, and that didn't sound too exciting when all I could think about was how much pain I was in and that I really couldn't move.

Then the lady came in to give me the mysterious and strange sounding treatment...

Our In-Home Lifestyle Program and a bit more!

Is going great. It's a wonderful encouragement for all of us to do better with our health and lifestyle habits. We're blessed to have someone here that has diabetes and their blood sugar levels have been balancing out very very well! Yesterday I taught a class on "The Acid/ Alkaline Connection" and now I'm getting ready to do one on the Liver. We've been doing fomentations, making poultices, getting good exercise, healthy food... and having a great time.

Oh oh oh...yesterday we went on outreach and a Bible study and had the most wonderful time! We only talked to 4 people and the Lord blessed w/ two Bible studies that are going to be a lot of fun!!!!

God is so good to us!

In this program the attendees are able to experience have a lifestyle program in the comfort of a home. They will participate in a cleansing program, organic juicing, cooking classes, health seminars, hydrotherapy & natural remedy classes, as well as being able to experience the hydrotherapy treatments for themselves. This Week's Feature ~ Migraine Headaches

Do any of you struggle with Migraine Headaches? If you do you know how horrible and debilitating they can be. My mom and I both have suffered from them. Normally what we would do would be to go to bed and suffer for hours and then wait for a few days for the effects to subside. In the past few years we learned that there are some natural remedies that are available to use for migraines. Since then we have been able to stop several migraines from developing.

At the first sign of a migraine (an aura, numb feeling, pain, etc. ) take Feverfew tea. This is made by putting 1 tsp of feverfew herb in a tea ball or tea bag, with 1 cup of water and simmer for 12 minutes. It is best to drink this right away. Only take 2-3 times per day.

Another remedy for migraines is to get in a hot tub and put ice packs/ ice bags on the persons head and the back of their neck. Keep them well hydrated and in a dark quite room. If one does not have access to a bathtub, use a hot water bottle and put it on their feet and ice on their heads. The ice is for pushing the blood away from the head and the hot water to the feet and body will help to pull the blood to the feet and other areas of the body.

Life has been so busy lately I've not had time to blog..and also, I used to just blog pictures when I didn't have time to write, but I broke my camera so I'm stuck with writing.

We had a great time at camp-meeting and then drove home only to do laundry and some other things at home and leave 12 hours later to head down to Georgia for the SDA General Conference Session in Atlanta.

On our way down here we stopped in northern GA and spent the day yesterday at Tallulah Falls which was just gorgeous. Nalani and I made a record of how many steps we've done in a day. God's creation is just amazing.

Tomorrow we'll be heading to the GC session. :) It's going to be so exciting seeing Adventists from all over the world.

Well...off to experience the adventures for the day... :)

This weeks feature... ~All Purpose Herbal Salve~

We tested this Salve out about a year ago and have used it for many purposes. Some of which are: bug bites, small scrapes and scratches, burns, hives, bruised tendons, muscle aches and pains, etc. It is incredible.

I'll just take a few minutes to share a couple personal testimonies.

Several months ago my dear mother hit the top of her foot on our stoneware pan that was sitting in the middle of the floor. Thinking that she would be fine, she kept walking around finishing packing up the car as we were getting ready to drive a 4-hour trip home. Half-way home she was in so much pain that I had to stop and get ice for her. By the time we arrived near home she decided that I had to take her to the ER to figure out what she had done. After finally managing to get her out of the backseat of the van, and several x-rays and hours waiting, we discovered that she had torn some tendons in her foot. Refusing the medications we drove home after getting a brace and crutches. After arriving home at midnight, I was sent off to the store to get cabbage to put on it as a "natural remedy."

So... off to the store I went...at midnight...

Being how tired I was I decided to try the closest store first...I drove right up to it only to discover that it was closed. I was a bit disheartened but I decided to try the next closest store, which was the opposite way that I would have gone if I had known that would need to go to this store...but off I went...

Oh...wait...I forgot to mention something KEY...before leaving home my mom decided to have me put on some of this "All Purpose Herbal Salve" and then we prayed.

Ok...back to my story...

The second store...after driving another 15 minutes, I pulled up to the second store and my heart sank...it was all dark...and closed.

The next closest store was another 30'ish minutes away...but mom was in excruciating pain (so I thought) and so off to the store I went.

I arrived at the store at about 1am...and Praise the Lord, it was OPEN!!!

I parked really really close to the front, for I do not like being out late at night AT ALL, and prayed and went into the store. As I walked into the store I was SHOCKED to see this sign...

"PRODUCE DEPARTMENT CLOSED"

I couldn't believe it!!! I had driven around for almost the past hour to get cabbage and now I was at the store and I couldn't even get to the cabbage.

As I walked into the store to see why the produce department was closed I noticed that they were doing something with the floors. Over in the distance I saw a man mopping, and knew that he was my only chance at getting the long-sought for cabbage.

Calling out to him: "Hello sir....sir????.... SIR????? SIR...CAN YOU HELP ME PLEASE????"

He FINALLY heard me...oh, yes, relief filled my heart...now I could get the cabbage and go home, help my mom, and hopefully get some sleep.

I'm sure he was shocked at the sight of a young girl in the store at that hour, wanting something from the produce department. He looked at me a bit puzzled when I asked him if he could PLEASE get me a cabbage. I told him how I had been to two other stores and I really needed a cabbage, after a bit of surprise he kindly put his mop down and went and got me my prized cabbage. I happily checked out and then went to go the van. After checking under the van to make sure no-one was hiding under it, I ran and jumped in and started off towards home.

I pulled in the driveway, poor mom was wondering what was taking me sooo long...and so I told her all the details, not realizing that she looked totally peaceful. After telling her my story I commented that she didn't seem to be in pain...

"Well" she said "The pain was completely gone 15 minutes after you left. The salve took all the pain away."

"Oh..." I said...and fell totally silent...the past hour and a half was spent and she didn't even need the cabbage (and she never used it either.)

The next couple of days we put the salve on a few times each day and by the third day she was walking around without the help of the crutches (totally against her "nurses orders" might I add), the doctor had told her that she'd be on crutches for at least 6 weeks with the type of injury she had.

So...we were quite pleased with the salve, to say the least...

That's my story and it's too late to tell the other one so that will have to wait...

So, I would suggest this salve to anyone. We have it with us at all times.

Natural Remedies...

Here is one that we discovered not long ago:

Tooth-aches and tooth nerve pain - Take dried oregano and put it in a tea-bag or cloth of some sort and place it directly on the area of pain. My mom had so much pain that she was thinking of going into the doctor for it and I ran down to get some oregano and with-in minutes of putting the dried herb on her tooth her pain was gone.

It's been quite the month!!

We've had either a Health Seminar or Natural Remedies seminar almost every week for the past 6 weeks. The Lord is really blessing. We were in Saginaw last week and I spoke on "The Acid Alkaline Connection" and this week are going to Kalamazoo to give a Natural Remedies Seminar. Next week we are back in Cadillac teaching another Natural Remedies Seminar. And the following week we have our 6th "Lunch & Learn Program.

We've also been working on our web page www.thecreatorsway.com and made our second order of Anna's Wild Yam Cream.

One thing that has been quite a blessing... which most take for granted... is SUNSHINE!!! We have been blessed by having about 5 days of beautiful sunny days in a row!!!

Time to go work on making lunch and doing more ministry work...

Here are some pictures from Tammy & Keith's Wedding this Summer. It was one of the most beautiful and fun weddings I have ever been in and been to.

My wedding gift to them was to make the bouquets. It was so much fun to pick the flowers and design the bouquets, especially with the help of some of my best friends! The Lord really blessed: the flowers for Tammy's bouquet were exactly what I was expecting but our "mini" calla's were about 3 times bigger than I was expecting. We tried for a whole day to figure out what was to arrange the flowers and all that came out was a bouquet that looked like a "lolly-pop." We decided to go to bed for the night and just pray about what to do. The next morning Chantee and I started arranging them according to what we were impressed would look good, and can you believe it, we did the same exact arrangement!! We were so excited and they turned out so well.

It was my 4th wedding to do the bouquets and it gets more fun each and every time. So... here are a few of the pictures.

It's been awhile!!

Things are soo busy!!! I only have a min but here's a short update on what's been going on...

GYC went just amazingly, the Lord really blessed in tremendous ways. We had about 3,600 people during the week and 5,400 on Sabbath!!

Now we're getting ready for Christian Berdahl to come up as well as continuing our "Lunch & Learn" Seminars that we have every other week.

We also finished my dad's study and did some remodeling in the furnace room. That was so much fun and I learned a lot!!

Not many pictures lately... esp since my camera is broken but here's a couple...

Isn't He amazing?? :)

Today, other than being quite sick and in bed almost the whole time since yesterday, the Lord showed us His love in a special way. We all know that the Lord watches over us and provides for us, yet sometimes He allows certain things to happen to impress that in a very real and tangible way.

Today we got an envelope in the mail. It was addressed to Mr & Mrs. Tim and Pam McKinley, in what looked like childrens hand-writting. There was no return address and where it was sent from could not be made out.

My dad opened the envelope like he would any other envelope, little did he know that such a simple package could contain something quite valuable.

As he opened the cute little card his eyes got huge. Noticing his expression I walked over as he fingered through the money that was in the card. It was simply signed: "I love you, Jesus"

What a surprise it was!! My mom was so surprised that she didn't believe us at first. Oh, how grateful we are to whomever it was and to the Lord for the gift that we received.

May we all be used to be a continual blessing to others as we are continually blessed by our ever loving heavenly Father.

I'M SICK!!!!! And I can't think of a worse time either. With 25 people coming over for Thanksgiving and a ton of cooking to do!!! Anyways, the Lord knows... at least I'm getting lots of rest time.

Well I just got home from giving some treatments to a friends son that has swine flu. It's kinda fun to get to go do house calls doing natural remedies :)

Had an interesting visit w/ the Amish family this week!!! Please keep Linda in your prayers as she has terminal brain cancer and is 11 weeks pregnant.

Preparations for "Lunch & Learn" are going amazingly!! It's exciting to see how the Lord is opening up doors.

Well... I must go to sleep now, I've got a long day ahead of me.
